Elsey’s presence in the contemporary California art community is entering its 40th decade with vigor and creativity. She is a founding member of the New Fauves, an internationally based organization of artists who have embraced the colorist principles of the French Fauves and German Expressionists. She is also a signature member of the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, the National Association of Women Artists, and the American Impressionists Society. Her work has been exhibited coast to coast, from the Bakersfield Museum (California) to the Salmagundi Club Gallery in NYC. She is represented by galleries in San Francisco, Nashville, Santa Barbara and now, Chicago.
